Sciatica

Sciatica in Ayurveda is termed as Gridhrasi, in which the person affected with this disease, walks like vulture, hence the name. It is one of the Vata Vyadhi explained in Ayurveda. Sciatic Nerve Know about Sciatic Nerve: It is the largest single nerve in the body. It starts by branching out the spine in the lower back and then innervates whole of the lower limb till foot. Sciatica symptoms occur when the large sciatica nerve is irritated or compressed at or near its point of origin. Causes: 1. Most oftenly due to lumbar disc prolapse. 2. SHIRODHARA

Shirodhara is an amazing Ayurveda therapy or procedure that helps in relaxation and rejuvenation of both body and mind, where a stream of warm medicated oils or herbal decoction are poured on the forehead and head continuously for a stipulated amount of time. Migraine (Anantavarta)

Migraine in Ayurveda  is known as Anantavarta,  while headache as Shirashula. There are many forms of headache and  migraine is  one of its predominant types. Migraine is a neurological disorder i,e. it is caused in the nervous system of the body. Symptoms: Migraine is characterized by convulsions, painful and recurring in nature. Headache affects one half of the head, from moderate to severe. Extreme case symptoms are nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound and smell. Person may  not experience any headache between two bouts, but can experience nose congestion and head heaviness. Causes: Migraines are caused due to mixture of environmental and genetic factors. The primary cause are excessive tension, anxiety and worry. The abrupt cause is due to prolonged exposure of crown to extreme climates. Lipoma

What is Lipoma? A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of fatty tissue that get accumulated between the skin and the muscle layer. They are made up of adipose tissue, which are non cancerous and harmless to the body. Lipomas usually found on neck, chest, upper arms, upper thighs, armpits and torso, but they can occur almost anywhere in the body. These fatty lumps can be single or multiple and easily visible. They are round, soft, lobular and movable in nature. Causes The cause for lipoma is unknown but it tends to run in families, so genetic factor likely play a role in their development. Symtoms Lipomas can measure about 2 cm and can grow upto 6 cm, sometimes even upto 10 cm long. Round, soft, movable and are of rubber consistency. Painless, unless lump formed over the blood vessels.
